Kevin Berg

Senior Consultant

In his role as Senior Associate at Kintla, Kevin contributes to the design and development of programs in Focus4Safety and strategies for improving quality and leadership. He also works with our delivery teams to identify innovative approaches to organization design and development and labor and workforce issues.

Before joining Kintla, Kevin worked for Bechtel Engineering and Construction for four decades. At Bechtel, Kevin served as Global Manager of Environmental Health & Safety; Global Manager of Quality Control, Quality Assurance & Six Sigma; Manager of International Construction Resources; and Vice President and Manager of Strategy, Process & Behavior Integration for the company.

Between 2011 and 2017, Kevin established standardized protocols, processes, and procedures for the simultaneous construction of three major Liquified National Gas facilities located on Curtis Island Queensland Australia, representing over $60 billion of total capital expenditure. While serving in this capacity, Kevin was elected the Australian Professional Manager of the Year by the Australian Institute of Management. He is the only non-Australian to ever be awarded this title. Upon successful completion of these projects, Kevin was appointed as Bechtel’s Global HR Transformation Manager, providing leadership and guidance for the implementation of an innovative HR strategy involving global workforce management and talent development. In 2018, he was elected President of a Bechtel limited liability company building the Vogtle nuclear power plant for Southern company.

In addition to his work in the heavy industrial construction industry, Kevin has been an active investor in commercial real estate and restaurant franchises. Since he purchased a single piece of commercial real estate and a single franchise restaurant in 2010, his holdings have grown to include 23 restaurants in the Southeastern US, with 3 more currently in development. He brings both deep global corporate experience and entrepreneurial inspiration to this work at Kintla.
