Akin is an experienced leadership, team effectiveness, organisation development, and change consultant. He has worked extensively across Engineering, Construction, and Oil and Gas sectors, partnering with leadership teams to develop the cultures required to achieve a sustainable high-performance environment.
Throughout his career, Akin has also provided 1:1 executive coaching and built coaching capability within organisations. He builds trust and credibility with stakeholders and target audiences by using a strong skillset of appreciative inquiry, discovery, listening, and questioning.
Akin’s current clients include ABB (Energy Industries division), Shell, Fugro, and Bechtel. Previous clients have included Chevron, Jacobs, and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating (KPO) in Kazakhstan where he designed and delivered a series of leadership and management development programmes.
Akin is a qualified practitioner in Prosci, MBTI Step 1, Insights Discovery, Hogan, and a certified ILM Level 7 executive coach.
Akin was educated in the UK, he has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor’s degree in History from University College London. He also has a certificate in personnel practice from the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development).
